Kasey provides strategic oversight to the Migrant Workers Service Canberra. She has extensive experience in the Australian union movement, with a career dedicated to advancing fair work, collective rights and strong protections for workers. Her leadership reflects a deep belief that all workers, regardless of visa status or background, deserve dignity, safety and equal protection under the law.

Rudo Makoni-Thodhlana

Rudo is a Zimbabwean-born Communications professional driven to empower temporary visa holders in Australia with clear, accessible knowledge about their work rights. Drawing on her lived experience and professional expertise, she connects with migrant communities, understands their challenges and ensures they know where to find support and protection.

Geraline Dadula

Geraline, originally from the Philippines, brings deep personal insight shaped by her lived experience of overcoming modern slavery under a sponsored visa. Inspired by her own journey, she is dedicated to ensuring that no migrant worker faces such hardship alone. She is passionate about empowering workers with knowledge of their legal rights, believing that informed and confident individuals are the strongest safeguard against exploitation.

Satara Uthayakumaran

Community Outreach Officer

Satara Uthayakumaran is a labour rights advocate serving as a Community Outreach Officer for the Migrant Workers Service at UnionsACT. Drawing on her previous experience as a Policy Advisor at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, she champions vulnerable communities in the workforce. As the 2025 Australian Youth Representative to the United Nations, she elevated young voices on a global stage. Today, she applies this commitment to intersectional advocacy by fighting for the working rights of students and migrants, ensuring their diverse experiences are recognised and protected.
